Creche & Junior Church

Crèche

We welcome young families to join our congregation and there is a crèche available downstairs in the Crypt during our regular Sunday service. This is for children who are not yet old enough to join our regular Children's Church (for Primary aged children and above).

Parents/carers are asked to stay with their children when they attend crèche, though friends may want to look after one-another's children. We provide refreshments to keep the little ones going.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Activities for children at St. Margaret’s are lively and seek to engage the imagination.

Primary school aged children meet at the same time as the main Sunday Service (10.30am) and learn about the Christian faith through teaching and craftwork.

The Children's Church sessions are led by a team of helpers drawn from the church congregation and parents of those who attend the sessions. We strongly encourage all parents of those who attend to join our rota and support the team. We don't require any previous experience and none of us are teachers! You will always be on with at least one other parent and until you are comfortable with taking a session, this will be an experienced volunteer. Sign up and have a go - it's great fun and a good way to meet other parents in the church.

Informal Worship for All

We meet once a month from 9am - 9:30am for an informal worship service.

All are welcome, regardless of church background or not.

It is not exclusively designed for young families, although most of those who attend fall into that category.  As a result, we aim to have as welcoming, relaxed and child-friendly an approach to worship as we can.

We usually focus on a very simplified service, including some interactive element, often craft, and look to see the world through each other's perspectives.  Jesus said that we should become like children in our approach to God.  We find this an inspiration for what we do.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

breakfast club

Breakfast Club is our church group for young people in Years 5-9. We meet in the Crypt on the second Sunday of the month, 9-9.45am. We usually play games, drink hot chocolate, and have conversations about faith. We also host a games night once a month on Friday evenings. All young people are welcome!

Health and Safety

St Margaret's has a Safeguarding Policy for Children and Vulnerable Adults which is reviewed annually by the PCC. To receive a copy of our current policy please e-mail the church office on office@stmargaretslee.org.uk. Further information can be found on the Southwark Diocese Safeguarding webpage.

To ensure your child's safety at all times we ask you to complete a registration form if your child attends an activity such as children's church, youth group or holiday club. Leaders of the groups will have these available on the day.
